Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician will assist with various aspects of laboratory and field research, including analysis of rock samples using a variety of analytical methods.
Essential Job Duties
Maintenance of lab supplies and cleanliness.
Laboratory sample prep for XRF and LA-ICPMS analyses.
Electron microprobe analysis.
Mineral separation.
Assistance with field-based pXRF and pLIBS analyses.
Data reduction and analysis.
Basic Qualifications
Completed undergraduate coursework in geology, mineralogy, and igneous petrology.
Coding capabilities (Python or MATLAB, preferred).
