Position description

The Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego are committed to academic excellence among faculty, staff, and students and seek applicants for Project Scientist positions.

Under the general supervision of the Principal Investigator, candidates will independently design, conduct, and analyze studies to evaluate cardiovascular disease. This includes performing experiments in both normal and genetically modified mouse models, as well as cultured cells, and analyzing and presenting the resulting data. In addition, candidates will be responsible for providing on-site teaching to students in the lab.

Appointments will be at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Project Scientist level based on background and years of experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application)

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent, a PhD, or an MD/PhD in a health-related field.
