JOB SUMMARY
Join UT Southwestern as an Assistant Nurse Manager on our Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation team. This Night Shift leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee specialized recovery care during critical hours, ensuring our patients receive consistent, high-quality advocacy and clinical expertise around the clock.
While leading our Night Shift team, you will support clinical excellence and operational flow for an adult patient population recovering from complex conditions, including:
Post-Surgical Recovery: Complex orthopedic surgeries and multi-trauma recovery.
Medically Complex Transitions: Patients transitioning from intensive care who require intensive functional therapy and medical management.
As an Assistant Nurse Manager at our Magnet-designated hospital, you will be responsible for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and the seamless transition of care across multidisciplinary teams. This role allows you to sharpen your leadership skills within our shared governance model, working alongside a dedicated team of physiatrists and therapists.

Required
Education Graduate of an accredited Nursing program and BSN
Experience 3 years experience as a RN and
Licenses and Certifications (RN) REGISTERED NURSE and (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) and (NLC) NURSING LICENSURE COMPACT-BNE or current Texas license and Specialty areas may have increased experience requirements as dictated by unit or standard of care.
