The HR Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the HR & Payroll Operations Center (HRPOC), ensuring the delivery of high-quality customer service and the accurate processing of personnel and payroll transactions. This position supervises a team responsible for front-line support, including onboarding, fingerprinting, I-9 verification, and payroll-related inquiries. The incumbent ensures compliance with university policies, labor agreements, and regulatory requirements, while also leading efforts in continuous process improvement, training, and documentation. The role requires a high level of judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
The position requires a regular on-site presence to oversee front desk operations, supervise in-person service delivery, ensure compliance with federal and state onboarding requirements, and provide real-time support to staff handling walk-in employee inquiries.
The budgeted salary range for this position is: $70,900.00 - $87,500.00
This is a hybrid position. The selected candidate will be expected to commute to UCLA and work on campus at least 2-3 days per week.

Salary & Compensation

Minimum 4 years of experience in payroll and HR operations, preferably in a unionized environment. (Required)
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and evaluate staff. (Required)
