Compensation Details: Starting Pay - 115,500.00; Commensurate with education and experience
Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm; Flexibility is required, as occasional evening and weekend hours may be necessary based on department needs.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Vice President, Academic Affairs (VPAA), the Dean is responsible for leading faculty and sustaining a student-centered academic culture that promotes collaboration, innovation, excellence, and integrity in teaching. This leadership position serves as the first level of academic administration for credit and non-credit programming for the campus, including program development and assessment. This position is also responsible for managing the division budget, teaching and learning assessment, and works in concert with VPAA to recommend faculty appointments, professional development, academic student support (i.e. library, learning centers), and evaluation in adherence to college policy and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements* ? Assists and advises the Vice President, Academic Affairs regarding students, personnel, or resource management concerns in a timely manner ? Establishes and follows through on a course of action for self or others to assure accomplishment of assigned objectives at the level expected for the position ? Ensures fiscal responsibility in the development and management of the schedule of classes and resource management in assigned budgets; monitors spending and approves expenditures according to established policies and procedures ? Collaborates with secondary school partners to coordinate course offerings and other partnership initiatives ? Collaborates with university partners in support of initiatives such as articulation agreements ? Directs and manages course schedules and teaching assignments following the College's policies and procedures ? Supports faculty excellence in instruction to ensure student success ? Collaborates with instructional leaders throughout the College on initiatives and operations ? Tracks and analyzes student performance, enrollments, and learning outcomes to make informed decisions regarding the status of academic programs and resource management (e.g., personnel and classroom resources) ? Follows the College's policies and procedures to coordinate program compliance and assessment efforts ? Leads in addressing Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) requirements for accreditation ? Authorizes or denies student petitions, including course substitutions, prerequisite overrides, and grade changes
General Supervision and Management ? Supervises, orients, mentors, assigns, and monitors duties and responsibilities of all faculty, instructional leaders, and staff ? Recruits and recommends qualified faculty and staff ? Ensures evaluation and support of faculty, instructional leaders and staff to promote student success; develops and manages performance improvement plans in collaboration with supervisors and Human Resources ? Recommends faculty for promotion in rank, tenure, re-employment, and faculty development leave
Service Excellence ? Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements ? Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite ? Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC) ? Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision ? Works under the general supervision of the Vice President, Academic Affairs

Required Minimum Qualifications:
? Master's degree ? Three (3) years' full-time teaching experience in a credit curriculum at the post- secondary level ? Three (3) years' working experience in leadership of curriculum and instruction ? Three (3) years' experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others)
Preferred Qualifications:
? Earned Doctoral degree ? At least two (2) years' working experience in budget development, fiscal stewardship, and resource management ? At least two (2) years' working experience in strategic planning and academic innovation, including the development, launch, evaluation, and continuous improvement of academic programs ? At least two (2) years' working experience in grant development and program administration, including managing initiatives that advance student success, workforce alignment, and institutional priorities ? At least two (2) years' working experience in performing arts, humanities, or closely related disciplines supporting creative programming, interdisciplinary collaboration, or community and cultural engagement
