LabCorp is seeking a Phlebotomy Supervisor to join our team in Reno, NV.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday hours will vary between 6:00 am - 6:00 pm based on coverage needs; Weekend hours may be required as needed
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of approximately 25 or more phlebotomists working in Patient Service Centers and/or physician's offices in Carson City, Elko and Reno, NV
- Manage patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
- Monitor monthly productivity and report any deviations as necessary
- Coordinate phlebotomists' schedules through resourceful and creative thinking
- Perform operational duties such as payroll, monthly schedules, and performance appraisals
- Partner with Human Resources regarding employee relations issues and disciplinary actions
- Hire and train phlebotomists to fill any open positions
- Communicate effectively to internal and external customers including patients, client office staff, sales team, logistics and senior management
- Provide exceptional customer service to all patients and clients
- Assist in the set-up of new Patient Service Centers or Client Offices
- Provide resolution of any patient or client issues
- Perform, collect, and prepare specimens when needed
- Travel to additional sites as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Nevada state issued laboratory assistant license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree
- Phlebotomy certification or completed Phlebotomy training program from an accredited agency
- 3 or more years? phlebotomy experience working in clinical / hospital environment
- Pediatric - Geriatric patient experience
- Phlebotomy managerial, supervisory, team leader experience
Additional Job Standards:
- In lieu of state license requirement listed above, an application for a lab assistant license filed with the NV Department of Health at time of hire may meet license requirement
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast paced / high volume work environment
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Be at least 21 years old
- Valid Driver?s License
- Reliable transportation and clean driving record

Pay Range: $55,000 - 101,063 annually
All job offers will be based on a candidate?s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
