$102,249 - $117,587 annually at Instructor of Clinical Practice/CNM
$103,272 - $118,762 annually at Sr. Instructor of Clinical Practice /CNM
$104,294 - $119,938 annually at Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice /CNM
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

Nature of Work:
The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking two Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNM) or Certified Midwives (CM) for full-time (1.0 FTE), benefits-eligible positions at its faculty practices on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO. One position is with University Nurse Midwives (UNM) and the other with the Center for Midwifery (CFM). Both roles are open rank within the Clinical Practice Faculty Track (Instructor / Senior Instructor / Assistant Professor). They involve providing antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, wellness, and gynecological care to a select patient population. These positions are clinically based as a health care provider and includes an instructor level, non-tenure clinical practice track appointment within the College of Nursing. The University of Colorado, College of Nursing currently has four academic midwifery faculty practices and a midwifery education program. This full-time position will work night shifts 50% of the time.

Faculty Practice Description:
UNM works collaboratively within the OB/GYN department and offers families many services including individualized care, group prenatal care, childbirth education, lactation services, behavioral health services, and referrals to specialty care with the University of Colorado and UCHealth systems. UNM provides full-scope midwifery care to individuals at the Anschutz Medical Campus and inpatient care to STRIDE clinic patients. UNM believes that families benefit from personalized and comprehensive care that focuses on the individual while including the family in the plan of care. The practice provides care to families from many countries and strives to offer culturally appropriate care. This position is a faculty appointment and involvement in the College of Nursing is expected. The nurse-midwife will be part of a midwifery service that consists of 19 midwives and has a long and successful history within the University of Colorado system.
Faculty Practice Description:
The Center for Midwifery is a private practice model that provides holistic, person-centered care. We offer people many services including individualized care, alternative labor/birth options, childbirth education, lactation services, mental health services, water birth and referrals to specialized care in other departments. The practice provides full-scope midwifery care to people at two locations with births occurring at the University of Colorado Hospital, the Anschutz Medical Campus. CFM believes that people benefit from personalized and comprehensive care that focuses on the patient while including the family in the plan of care. We serve people who desire alternative labor and birth experience with a water birth option. The midwife will be part of a midwifery service that has a long and successful history within the University of Colorado system.

Work is performed independently under the general direction and authority of the UNM Clinical Lead

Examples of Work Performed:
Provide full scope care to the gynecologic, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient
Provide care in the outpatient clinic, OBED, and intrapartum unit
Utilize limited obstetric ultrasound skills in the outpatient and inpatient setting
Attend monthly practice meetings and participate in a minimum of one-practice and/or College of Nursing committees.
Educate health care team students (APPs, medical students, residents) and actively participate in student evaluations
Participate in practice development, promotion and community outreach.
Active participation in health plan contracts.
Remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current.
Performs other duties as assigned.
