The University of Houston Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing at the University of Houston Sugar Land campus is seeking an outstanding candidate with exceptional clinical practice, scholarship, excellence in teaching, and a clear commitment to enhancing student learning for graduate and undergraduate students. The anticipated start date for qualified applicants for the 12-month, non-tenure track, promotion-eligible, faculty position at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor begins August 2025.

Faculty responsibilities include ongoing curriculum development and evaluation; classroom and clinical instruction in the graduate and undergraduate programs using direct on-site, simulation, and distance education strategies; some travel; participation in college and university committees; engaging in scholarship and service.

The Gessner College of Nursing is proud of its excellent BSN, MSN and DNP academic programs, innovative web-enhanced education, accredited simulation centers, and supportive student environment for both face-to-face and distance learning. While the primary teaching site is the University of Houston Katy campus, the Gessner College of Nursing has programming on the University of Houston Sugar Land campus and the University of Houston main campus.
