JOB SUMMARY: To perform high-quality diagnostic sonography and deliver high-quality patient care utilizing knowledge and judgement in regard to image technique within the scope of maternal-fetal medicine. A Sonographer Educator is also expected to regularly participate in the educational objectives of the learners that regularly rotate through the unit.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: a.Associates Degree & Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program b.Basic Life Support from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program c.Reg Diag Med Sonographer (OBGYN specialty) from ARDMS
Work Experience (Years and Area): No Experience Required: MFM ultrasound scanning experience preferred
Equipment Operated: Ultrasound scanners, PACS, RIS and related clinical equipment
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) Writing /Composing (Correspondence / Reports ) Writing / Reports
Other Skills: Analytical, CRT, Medical Terms, P.C.
