Lake Tahoe School seeks an experienced instructor to join our school community and teach Middle School Language Arts to 7th- and 8th-grade students beginning in 2026-2027. The full-time position includes teaching three sections of classes and responsibility for coordinating the Middle School Language Arts curriculum. The latter works in concert with the Lower School and PreK coordinators to ensure a coordinated and schoolwide approach. In addition, LTS requires teachers to be involved in other school-related activities such as coaching, clubs, electives, and outdoor education.
Seeking at least 5-10 years of experience in teaching Language Arts and Curriculum Coordination.
Lake Tahoe School is a Pre-K through 8th-grade school located in Incline Village on the north shore of Lake Tahoe.
We provide a traditional core curriculum with a breadth and depth in each subject area that exceeds state and national standards. Our school day provides blocks of time not only for core subject areas but also for enrichment opportunities in Art, Music, MakerSpace, Spanish, and Physical Education. Computer literacy and technology are integrated into our core subject areas. We offer multi-age Math and Spanish classes as well as a number of electives at the Middle School level.
Our campus facilities - including the Duffield Hall Athletic and Performing Arts Center - offer our students outstanding opportunities in science, technology, language, computers, the performing arts, and outdoor educational experiences. Summer session programs are available.
