At The Meadows School, we believe that student success is strengthened when each learner is supported with the tools, strategies, and guidance they need to reach their full potential. Coordinate Student Support Plans:Provide case management for students with accommodation plans, including Student Success Plans (SSPs), and ensure effective implementation across settings
Deliver Targeted Interventions:Provide push-in and pull-out interventions during the school day, while also helping manage before and after-school support options
Collaborate for Student Success:Observe students, partner with teachers and other team members, and contribute to coordinated support plans that meet a range of learner needs
Educate and Build Partnerships:Help educate faculty and parents on topics related to learning differences and cultivate a strong network of community professionals to support students and families
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate is an experienced and innovative educator who understands the complexities of learning differences and is passionate about helping students develop the skills, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed. This person is flexible, creative, and collaborative, with the ability to partner effectively with students, families, faculty, administrators, and outside professionals in support of student growth:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Special Education; Master’s degree preferred
Strong knowledge base in learning disabilities, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, as well as deep knowledge of ADHD and ASD
Familiarity with developmentally appropriate teaching practices, current research on universal best teaching practices and support for divergent learners, RTI, data-based decision-making, and assessments
Sound knowledge of adolescent development and pedagogy
Ability to unwrap standards and provide light reteaching support across grades 6–12 in both Math and Literacy
Ability to provide executive functioning and study guidance and teach students how to use assistive technology and accommodations
Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
A flexible and creative team player who is eager to grow and strengthen a learning support program
