Under the direction of the Superintendent, the Executive Director of Human Resources and Culture serves as the District’s chief human resources leader and a strategic advisor on workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee and labor relations, organizational culture, compliance, and leadership development. The Executive Director provides districtwide leadership so that Corcoran Joint Unified School District can recruit, develop, support, and retain high-quality employees in alignment with the District’s mission to create a positive, safe, and stimulating environment for all and its vision of being a destination district.

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, personnel administration, public administration, business administration, educational leadership, or a closely related field preferred.
Three years or more of progressively responsible leadership or management experience in human resources, educational administration, labor relations, organizational leadership, or a closely related field, including experience supervising staff and supporting personnel-related functions. Experience in a California public school district, county office of education, or public agency is highly desirable.
Demonstrated success building positive organizational culture, supporting employee development, and leading complex personnel initiatives may be considered in lieu of some traditional human resources experience.
Valid California driver’s license and evidence of insurability.
SHRM-SCP, SPHR, PHR-CA, PHCLE, or California administrative services credential/certificate desirable.
Fingerprint clearance, TB clearance, and other pre-employment requirements as required by law and District policy.
