Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) in beautiful Astoria, Oregon, is looking for a Medical Director of Medical Oncology to lead a growing program that blends advanced cancer care with small-town connection. Through a strong collaboration with Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), this role offers something truly rare: the chance to be part of a respected academic system while practicing in a community that values personal relationships, local decision-making, and high-quality care.
You’ll have a four-day clinical workweek with just one day of phone call, giving you real-time to enjoy life outside of work. Whether it’s hiking along the coast, kayaking in the bay, or spending time in Astoria’s vibrant downtown, this role supports a balanced lifestyle in a setting that feels both grounded and inspiring.
CMH is a critical access hospital with CoC and ACR accreditations and is Planetree Gold-Certified for patient-centered care. Even more exciting: a brand-new, 180,000-square-foot hospital is set to open in 2027! The new facility will feature expanded ORs, more emergency and observation beds, and cutting-edge imaging equipment—making it an incredible time to join.
If you’re looking for a leadership position where you can make a real impact—and still have time to enjoy where you live—this is for you.
