The UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art is a newly unified museum that brings together the academic depth of UC Irvine with the public presence of a major regional art institution. Led by Museum Director Kathryn Kanjo, the museum brings together two renowned institutions under a shared vision of public access, scholarship, and meaningful cultural engagement across Orange County and beyond.
The museum cares for a collection of more than 9,000 works tracing California art from the nineteenth century to today. As the museum moves toward a single, consolidated home, its work will be centered in the 53,000-square-foot public-facing building in Costa Mesa designed for exhibitions, programs, and community gathering-bringing together education, research, and public engagement under one roof.

Your Role on the Team
The UC Irvine Langson Orange County Museum of Art seeks an effective, experienced, and professional Senior Building Maintenance Worker.
The University of California, Irvine recently acquired the 53,000 square foot museum located at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California. This position will be a part of the team responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and function of this and other museum facilities.
The Senior Building Maintenance Worker will work closely with the Director of Building Maintenance to ensure operational efficiency of the museum. Success in this position requires excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded building maintenance background, which includes the ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in building maintenance to include upkeep, minor alterations; plumbing, electrical, painting and lock repair ensuring facilities are tidy and functional.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required:
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic calculations.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Demonstrated ability to perform semi-skilled building maintenance work.
Familiarity with reading building drawings and technical manuals.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve quickly.
Basic knowledge of HVAC and basic Building Management Software.
One year experience as a Building Maintenance Worker, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Driver's License:
Required to hold a valid drivers license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures, and/or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Preferred:
3-5 yearsExperience as a Building Maintenance Worker, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $25.69- $28.94 (Hourly).
