Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart seeks a full-time Upper School Spanish Teacher to teach Spanish to high school students in grades 9–12.

Job Duties:

• Teach Spanish language courses to students in grades 9–12, including intermediate and advanced levels;
• Design and deliver engaging instruction in World/Foreign Language aligned with best instructional practices;
• Provide academic support to students outside of class time, including answering questions and providing writing assistance as needed;
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum, assessments, and instructional strategies that promote innovative and equitable learning experiences;
• Maintain curriculum maps to ensure appropriate scope, sequence, and alignment of course content, skills, and assessments;
• Attend content team meetings, faculty meetings, and required professional gatherings;
• Participate in school assemblies, divisional events, and broader school community activities;
• Attend and respectfully participate in communal prayer and other faith services as part of the school community.

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Spanish or Foreign Languages;
• 12 months of experience teaching Spanish courses, including intermediate and advanced levels;
• Ability to teach multiple levels of Spanish courses;
• Ability to assess student performance, provide feedback, and participate in semester evaluations;
• Proficiency with instructional technology and platforms, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Classroom, and similar online presentation tools.
