Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, both inpatient and outpatient, for individuals undergoing hematologic malignancy treatment, stem cell transplantation (autologous/allogeneic), and CAR?T cellular therapies.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team-including transplant coordinators, nurse navigators, specialty RNs-to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care.

• Participate in tumor boards, case conferences, clinical rounds, and the continuum of care-from initial consult to long-term follow-up and survivorship.

• Engage in clinical documentation and EMR usage, leveraging Sutter?s EPIC system and supported by RN coverage and clinical support staff. 

• Assist with clinical and translational research, including support from the Sutter Institute for Medical Research (SIMR), and participate in journal clubs or educational sessions.

• Graduate from an accredited NP or PA program with appropriate national certification (e.g., AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).

• California licensure eligibility and clearances (NP/PA licensure required).

• Prior experience in hematology/oncology, stem cell transplantation, or cellular therapies (e.g., CAR?T) is strongly preferred.

• Exceptional communication skills, comfortable working in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment including patient/family interactions.
