Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The Staffing Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and adjusting patient care units' schedules and staffing in the computer system. Contacts per diem staff and agencies to cover vacations and sick time. Assigns staff from the float pool and floats staff to different unit to ensure safe staffing levels. The coordinator performs other clerical duties to meet staffing needs.
Enters staff in computerized staffing system.
Calls in nursing staff when additional staffing is needed.
Reviews reports and calls off nursing staff when over-scheduled.
Obtains copies of certifications, and other documents as necessary for registry and contract staff.
Monitors per-diem and contract employees sign-in sheets for accuracy and completion.
Tracks/maintains/processes all reverse billing for registry/contract staff.
Establishes effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s)

Tuition Reimbursement: Repays up to $600 per calendar year for fees expended to attend a job-related seminar, licensure renewal (if mandated by job description), workshop, conference, individual course, or other training programs.
Tuition Loan: Provides up to $2,000 per calendar year for approved formal certificate or degree programs including prerequisites for approved degree programs. A tuition loan and reimbursement may, with appropriate approvals, be combined for a maximum of $2,600.
Critical Pipeline Loan: Tuition loans up to $5,250 for specific degree programs at approved, accredited schools identified by the organization. This program is for attaining the following degrees: Bachelor?s: BSN, Chemistry, Medical Technology or Science. Master?s: MSN, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physical Therapy doctorate.
Employees may have their loans Forgiven if they continue eligible employment for 12 months after completion of the term for which the loan was given
Hours: Day Shift 0500- 1730. Two shifts per week. A combination of weekday, weekend and holidays throughout the year.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) year of experience in a healthcare facility.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages preferred.
Demonstrates professional and courteous phone manners.
Has a good working relationship within the department, with the Nurse Managers and other departments.
Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.)
