This position is appointed by the Board of Trustees and serves as the Chief Executive and Administrative Officer and is responsible for the day-to-day affairs of the District. This is a leadership position in the Public Sector and requires executive management experience with a high level of critical and strategic thinking, strong leadership and professionalism.

The position requires knowledge and experience working within political and public administrative systems, and skills navigating processes involved in achieving mission, vision, industry standards and best practices within the waste collection industries. 

This position is a key leadership position and is the liaison between the Board of Trustees and District employees. Serves as a community liaison for city and town councils and requires rapport building across all levels of the organization and its cities.

It requires an ability to balance between ensuring quality field operations, navigating political processes and board functions. Requires working outside regular business hours including evenings and weekends.
