Under direction of Manager of SPD Central Sterile Processing, the SPD Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of personnel engaged in the processes of documentation, cleaning, disinfecting, inspecting, and assembling instruments for sterilization and cleaning of equipment for hospital departments. Ensuring that patient care items are available, and acts as a resource and guide for performing correct clinical technique. Interacts with OR staff, Physician and patient care areas to support hospital policy and procedures, Title 22, AAMI, AORN and all other regulatory regulations and standards. Performs all SPD functions if needed.
