In this role, your responsibilities will include drawing patient blood samples, processing blood/body fluid specimens entering the lab and distributing appropriate specimens for testing to laboratory in a timely manner for the Laboratory department.You will prepare appropriate specimens for reference lab couriers, maintaining adequate stock levels on drawing carts/trays/drawing room.Additionally, you will properly utilize the lab computer system (LIS) and other lab equipment.You may also perform other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $32.48-$41.19 Hourly
Qualifications
Required:
Current and valid California State CPT certificate
High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED or HiSET)
Must have two years of phlebotomy experience OR one year of in-patient hospital phlebotomy experience
Skill in reading and writing English to understand technical protocols/procedures and to write brief accurate patient data
