Develop and deliver highly specialized federal security training programs tailored to meet the Aviation Department’s specific federal requirements, ensuring full compliance with regulations. Provide and coordinate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) annual training; FAA part 139, and FAA part 1542 training including course schedules; prepare program event and material including flyers, schedules of events, pamphlets and brochures. Conduct aviation specific security and airfield training for Law Enforcement Officers and Airfield staff to include; non-movement and movement area airfield driving, emergency and disaster response procedures, airfield inspections and standards, and incident investigation and documentation. Administer and facilitate the required Transportation Security Administration (TSA) annual security training for all aviation personnel and airport staff, including tenants, airline employees, federal agency representatives, contractors, and individuals with airport identification media, as well as Kirkland Air Force Base personnel supporting air operations at the airport.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
  
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in organizational training, adult learning theory, aviation, business administration; and
 
 Five (5) years of experience as an organizational trainer in any combination of the following:

• Aviation Security or Operations
• Adult Education/Training
• Occupational Safety

Experience in an aviation related field preferred. 
Possession of an Airport Certified Employee (ACE) certificate preferred.

Additional Requirements:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.

Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
Possession of an Airport Trusted Agent Certification within six (6) months from date of hire.
