The Opportunity:
As the Administrative Assistant 3, you will independently perform a variety of complex administrative projects and assignments in support of the Carson College of Business and the Dean's Office. You will make independent decisions regarding office and workroom management, organize, coordinate, and implement all administrative services in the unit.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: preparing reports, preparing, reviewing, verifying, and processing fiscal documents and/or financial records, composing correspondence and responses to frequent requests for information, establishing manual or electronic record-keeping/filing systems and/or database files, and responding to inquiries requiring substantive knowledge of office/departmental policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
High School graduation or equivalent AND three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in office/clerical, secretarial, bookkeeping, accounting, or general administrative work; OR equivalent education/experience.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Demonstrated customer service experience.
Excellent editorial/proofreading skills with experience in word processing.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to adapt and be flexible in changing environment.
Strong computer skills and competency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience using computer software to manage multiple electronic calendars and schedule appointments/meetings.
Monthly Salary: $3,477 to $4,632 | Range 40, Steps A to M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
