The Department of Linguistics at the University of Utah invites applications for a two-year visiting assistant professor position to begin July 1, 2024, pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate must have completed a Ph.D. in Linguistics or a closely related field by the time of appointment. Duties include a sustained research program and a teaching load of four courses per year, normally two each semester. There are also opportunities for possible mentorship of graduate and undergraduate student-scholars and a modest amount of Departmental and/or College and University service.
