CHOC Medical Group (CMG) is seeking a dynamic, full-time Division Chief to oversee our growing Urgent Care division at Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), a premier healthcare system based in Southern California. CHOC is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise and advocacy to pediatric patients. 

The Division Chief will serve as the clinical leader for the Division of Urgent Care of the medical group.  The role includes oversight of physicians and advance practice professionals who work in all CMG Urgent Care domains, including 8 locations (clinics and telehealth). This role is comprised of 40% administrative and 60% clinical responsibilities. Provider level oversight will include scheduling, determining staffing matrices, mentorship, and clinical direction setting.  Leadership will be in tandem with operational leaders in clinical sites, and as such the Division Chief will have insight into all aspects of the clinical operation. The Division Chief will have three physician leads to assist with the leadership of the group and will be responsible for assignment of division responsibilities.  The Division Chief will report to and work closely with the Medical Director of the CHOC Primary Care Network to determine needs, strategy, and work through challenging problems. This position will also contribute to program development and represent CMG at the CHOC Primary Care Network.

Minimum Requirements: Prior urgent care pediatric experience; 3 to 5 years management experience. Current California Medical License, DEA Registration, PALS, BLS and Board Certified in Pediatrics.
