Position Summary:
The Division of Finance and Administration (DFA) provides services and support to over 50,000 students, faculty, and staff with the mission of advancing UCI's brilliant future and the vision of becoming world-class campus partners. DFA serves the university as planning partners, problem solvers, and solution providers-striving to make it as easy as possible for people to get the services they need, when they need them. UCI Transportation and Distribution Services oversees all transportation planning, parking, and mail services at the University of California, Irvine. UCI Transportation has an environmental commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from all vehicles traveling on and around the UCI campus. This commitment to reduce costs and emissions is at the heart of every program and service offered to the UCI campus community.
Provides professional level analytical and technical support on a variety of projects related to the University sustainability efforts. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.
Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent combination of education/ experience / training in sustainable transportation.
Working knowledge of environmental sustainability and policy. Knowledge of sustainability concepts and practices, including transportation demand management and clean energy. Demonstrates ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Proficient ability to build collaborative relationships across the organization. Proficient in communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Demonstrates ability to analyze, research, and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail. Familiar with all software applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Access) and database applications.
Working knowledge of U.S. Green Building Council rating systems.
Special Conditions Required:
Subject to background check. California Driver's License and participation in the California DMV Employer Pull Notice (EPN) Program. Possible night and weekend work. Must comply with UC Vaccination Policy.
