Position Information Under the direction of Associate Director of Human Resources and Academic Personnel Systems and Lead Application Developer, this position is responsible for application development using all phases of the software development lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, testing, production, and maintenance). As a junior-level developer, this position works closely with senior developers to gain knowledge and experience to analyze, design, build and document specifications for applications using the Grails and Oracle database and cloud based NestJS platform/s. Additionally, this position will collaborate with fellow developers and business analysts to support discovery and requirement gatherings in an agile development environment. This role also provides technical guidance and applies information technology practices, community standards, and relevant policies and procedures to medium-sized projects or portions of large projects with moderate scope and complexity. On a regular basis, this position will work with campus stakeholders to resolve a wide range of issues and demonstrate competency in selecting tools, methods, and techniques to obtain results.
This position is classified as remote with occasional visits to campus as needed. Working hours will be based on Pacific Standard Time (PST).
The full salary range for the Junior Application Developer is $56,800 - $99,200 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $56,800 - $78,000 or $78,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, UCR is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
