Summary of Duties:
The Admissions Recruiter/Counselor is responsible for focusing on and promoting WSU Everett undergraduate programs by developing, expanding, and strengthening key relationships with leaders in education and communities in assigned area. This position will establish and maintain strong working relationships with high school and community college counselors, teachers, and other school administrators to increase prospective student inquiries and enrollment.
Additional duties include: outreach to community organizations, event attendance, representing the university at community events, recruitment events, representing the department on various committees, training meetings and development opportunities. This position must be available to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year of experience directly related to student services. A Master's degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and presenting information to groups.
Experience with Microsoft Office and Outlook.
While using a private vehicle for official business, the successful candidate must have current automobile liability insurance (meeting the requirements described in RCW 46.30.020 and RCW 46.29.090).
Possession of, or ability to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license.
Must have reliable transportation.
Ability to travel.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related field.
Experience working in education or with high school and/or college students.
Experience recruiting students at a four-year institution as well as recruiting from community colleges.
Experience recruiting in an urban setting.
Knowledge of student recruitment and college admissions.
Knowledge of admissions procedures, academic programs, financial aid and scholarships and a broad base of knowledge regarding WSU.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, prospect software (CRM), and enterprise systems.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Experience in community organizations and/or volunteer experience with undeserved populations.
Broad working knowledge of policies and procedures in a complex academic institution.

Monthly Salary: $4,166.67 - $5,000 | In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
