The exercise physiologist develops, implements, and evaluates exercise programs for patients in our Cardiac Rehab & Preventive Cardiology Programs. Incumbent assesses cardiovascular and metabolic effects of exercise for cardiac and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Incumbent creates educational materials and sessions for patients in both programs. Acts as the clinical coordinator for the Preventive Cardiology Program; scheduling patients to have multi-provider/disciplinary visits with physicians, dieticians & exercise physiologists according to program guidelines.

Required Qualifications:
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
2+ years' experience in the field of exercise physiology
Ability to attend to patients' health and fitness needs
Strong communication skills and the ability to understand specific patient needs
Ability to work with patients expressing a variety of emotions, and/or dealing with notable physical pain
Able to work cooperatively with physicians and other medical specialists
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Basic life support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a healthcare environment
Experience in an academic environment &/or military medical environment
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology and ACSM certified or equivalent experience in a clinical setting
