STVP seeks a Program Manager to provide high quality program support for the center's activities including course and communications support and community engagement activities. As a program manager, you will leading the delivery of STVP's core programs including our four marquee Fellows programs, DEI initiatives (e.g. First Gen/Low Income Entrepreneurship Workshop Series), and Alumni Engagement. Reporting to the managing director, this position is critical in shaping and delivering vibrant learning and community-building experiences. You will work closely with staff and faculty to coordinate work plans and timelines as well as provide event support, including managing venues and logistics and the planning and coordination for staff meetings, retreats, and other special projects. There is opportunity for you in this role to strengthen and develop your program management and project lead skills.
The Program Manager will also provide operational support to ensure efficient and smooth project collaboration and teamwork. You will be responsible for maintaining (and improving systems for) project management practices, document organization, financial processing, databases and records, office supplies purchases, and facilities access with the aim to maintain easy to use systems.
STVP is a small, high impact, and highly collaborative team. You will engage in creative, strategic, and generative collaboration to develop and improve programs and activities with the STVP team and affiliated faculty. This role will also engage frequently and collaboratively with administrative leaders in STVP's home unit, the Department of Management Science & Engineering, and others across the School of Engineering and University. This role will work closely to help advocate for STVP, inspire entrepreneurs, and help the center launch meaningful and novel programs and content.
Your responsibilities include:
Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
May participate in development of budgets, monitor, and approve expenditures. May perform limited forecasting and provide recommendations that determine the budget.
