Summary Description: The Admission Counselor for PGS is a full-time, benefit eligible position reporting to the Executive Director for Professional and Graduate Studies. This role serves as a member of the Admission Office. He/she will be primarily responsible for identifying, engaging, and recruiting prospects to the University to achieve its enrollment goals. Through the Executive Director for Professional and Graduate Studies, the Admission Counselor is responsible for managing specific recruitment markets, participating in recruiting events, and responsible for on-campus tours as needed.
Primary Job Duties:
Implement recruitment strategies for the assigned markets to generate inquiries and applications that lead to achieving enrollment goals.
Exercise independent judgment regarding recruitment strategies for assigned territories, student contacts, and student relationship development.
Coordinate and evaluate admissions events and strategies including program effectiveness, assess outcomes, determine cost analyses, and develop improved programming to achieve enrollment goals.
Data Entry into the University’s CRM system.
Work collaboratively with Enrollment Division to recruit at local events such as corporate partnership meetings, education fairs, community colleges, and other community activities to generate interest in the University.
Conduct out of office travel for admissions-related events.
Review admission applications, evaluate credentials, and make decisions accordingly of all applicants.
Advise students of admission requirements, transfer guidelines, financial aid and scholarship information, etc.
Abide by NACAC and NACCAP Principles of Good Practice
Contribute to the support and implementation of the University Strategic Plan
Participate in Warner Pacific University professional development opportunities
Adhere to University policies and procedures regarding career, academic, and ADA services
Demonstrate commitment to a Christ centered liberal arts education by upholding to the mission of the University and abiding by the Employment Standards and Lifestyle Agreement

Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience in a higher education environment
Experience in a professional office environment interacting with customers and cashier responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently
Ability to multi-task, work effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work outside of normal business hours, as necessary (campus events, pre-registration, etc.)
Excellent self-motivation, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff
Proficient in computer programs including Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, and the Internet
Demonstrated ability to work with a wide range of people and commitment to diversity
Bilingual – Spanish speaker preferred
Proven success and consistent track record of achieving recruitment/sales goals
Physical Demands – Work Environment: The position is located in a typical office environment. Professional/business casual attire is required.
