STDT SVC ADVISOR 2 (Associate Director, Mpac - Student Services & Career Development)Job Summary
Reporting to the MPAc Associate Director, working with the MPAc Faculty Director and Executive Director, and collaborating with the Student Affairs staff, manage key programs, provide high-level professional support for the Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program. Manage orientation, registration, programming, events, employer relations, and support admissions, alumni affairs and career development. Initiate, develop, implement and manage new programs, policies and processes affecting academic & student services and employer relations. Provide a transformative student experience and develop high-level recruiter relationships. Provide policy guidance to diverse students, faculty, staff, alumni, applicants, company representatives and the general public about MPAc procedures, programming, deadlines, and events. Serve as a primary source of information and communication for MPAc current students, UCD community, other institutions, and employers.
RECRUITMENT PERIOD 6 weeks: Applicants will be screened after two weeks; and then on a weekly basis. This position can be filled prior to the removal day.POSITION INFORMATION

WORK ENVIRONMENT - Work occasional overtime and work adjusted hours as needed - including evenings, holidays, and weekends - sometimes on short notice, to meet operational needs.
- Requires travel, including overnight and weekends, in state, nationally and internationally as the need arises. Travel to Sacramento, Davis and San Ramon campuses and Sacramento and Bay Area locations.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
California driver's license and passport are required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Progressive experience managing a complex program in a fast-paced professional work environment.
Experience handling challenging, sensitive and/or confidential issues with student groups, persons of varying ages and ethnic backgrounds, special interest groups, organizations, employers and company representatives, alumni, campus staff, faculty, the public, and others.
Skills to manage and deliver complex projects and programs on time and on budget, with experience developing and successfully executing strategic plans, including goals, action plan, and metrics. Skills to effectively take initiative, prioritize, exercise independent judgment, and develop and implement solutions.
Writing, editing and proofreading skills to produce emails, letters, memos, reports, etc.
Computer skills including advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Skills to work with databases.
Preferred:
- Experience in graduate management admissions or student services.
- Broad and specific knowledge of the graduate and professional student experiences.
- Knowledge of and experience with UC Davis and campus resources.
