About Redwood Eye Center
Redwood Eye Center has been serving the Solano community for over 85 years and is the oldest comprehensive ophthalmology practice in Vallejo. The practice offers a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services and treatments, specializing in routine eye and medical care, cataract surgery, astigmatic correction, multifocal lens implants, pterygium surgery, glaucoma, eyelid procedures and biopsies, and additional refractive services. To maintain a competitive edge in the eye care industry, Redwood Eye Center is looking for a highly skilled Optometrist to join the dynamic team of 21 professionals.
The practice's facility features state-of-the-art equipment, multiple examination lanes, a minor procedure suite, and a full-scale optical dispensary to cater to unique vision needs. Fully equipped with diagnostic technology, the practice utilizes autorefractors, corneal topography, external digital photography, immersion a-scan ultrasonography, optical coherence tomography, and visual field technology. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse a wide selection of optical frames and sunglasses from the optical boutique. The Opticians provide personal assistance to help patients select the best frames for medical needs, lifestyle, appearance, and budget--plus, a full-service contact lens department conveniently offer patients all major manufactures of contact lens trials and retail stock to purchase.
About the Full-Time Optometrist Opening
Redwood Eye Center is seeking a full-time Optometrist passionate about offering individualized eye care solutions to ensure optimal eye health for every patient. You'll perform comprehensive primary eye care and care for 20 to 25 patients daily. A professional proficient in specialty contact lenses, including hard-to-fit contacts, will be a great asset to the team. This is an excellent opportunity to serve diverse communities and care for patients of all backgrounds.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, excellent patient communication skills, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. In addition, the ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.
Minimum qualifications include:
* Optometry license in the state of California
