The University of Southern Californiaâs Classical KUSC Radio Station is seeking a Budget/Business Technician to join its team.Â KUSC is located in the heart of downtown LA and is a part of USC, the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles.
USC Radio Group seeks an experienced Budget Business Technician. S/he will provide day-to-day accounting and financial support, including working on budget and payroll reports, developing financial reports and monitoring financial performance of USC Radio Group. S/he will help with monthly reconciliations and process daily revenue and expense transactions. S/he will also be assign ad-hoc projects and other basic administrative duties.
Monitor expenditures throughout the budgetary period
Monitors blanket requisition charges and itemizes expenses
Tracks equipment purchases and obtains maintenance contracts.
Order, track and maintain office supply inventory, including kitchen supplies
Help with on-boarding contractors, vendors, follow up, collect and prepare associated paperwork, follow up with vendors inquiries pertaining to paperwork; occasional interaction with vendors directly for payment and invoice questions, etc.
Help with capital item inventory, tracking of location where equipment is.
Tracking of leases/expiration changes/contracts
Help managing routine facilities maintenance contracts and vendor scheduling: related coordination and communication with regional contract engineer and vendor.Â Help develop a routine maintenance calendar.
High school or equivalent combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
2 years directly related office financial experience to provide knowledge of accounts payable, income and expense accounting and reconcilement, and budget preparation.
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills, and professional and presentable appearance.
Able to manage multiple tasks, switching gears with ease
Solid organization, prioritization and planning skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel a plus
