USC's Viterbi School of Engineering, Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering,Â is seeking a Research CoordinatorÂ to join its team. The Research CoordinatorÂ is part of theÂ Dynamic Imaging Science Center (DISC,Â disc.usc.edu)Â and is responsible for coordinating assigned projects.
TheÂ Research CoordinatorÂ position entails assistance with the overall conduct ofÂ human subjects research using investigational devices, primarily 0.55 Tesla magnetic resonance imaging.
The successful candidate will have experience working in a human subjects and/or clinical trials researchÂ environment,Â have research certification,Â have excellent organizational skills, work well as aÂ member of a small research team, be able to work independently, and have the ability toÂ interact well with study participants.Â Spanish language fluency is beneficial, but not required. Â Candidate will work with the PI, department, sponsors,Â and institution to provide assistance on compliance, financial, administrative, and clinicalÂ aspects of all studies.Â Candidate will serve as a lead assisting with planning ofÂ project operations based on proposed research activities and timelines.Â Â Duties includeÂ butÂ are not limited to providing general administrative support for research projects,Â screening and coordinating subject recruitment and experiment scheduling, assisting with training andÂ demonstrating techniques or procedures to students and staff,Â preparation and submission ofÂ regulatory documents, budgeting, completion of dataÂ collection forms, adverse event reporting, study closure, and all tasks related to theÂ operational conduct of human subjects research.
Preferred Education:Â Bachelorâs degreeÂ Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Preferred Experience:Â 3Â years in clinical research

Related experience with specialized research and/or programs (e.g., counseling, teaching). Ability to analyze and evaluate data, and present findings. Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, able to problem solve and lead conflict resolutions. Ability to interpret and apply policies/analyses/trends. Working knowledge of MS Office applications.Â Ability to multi-task and prioritize.Â Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
