Responsible for supervising/ coaching/ mentoring STAR/ CHIP/ or STAR Kids workgroups (Pods) comprised of UM/ECM RN and support staff to achieve department goals and objectives. Acts as process owner and subject matter expert for program benefits and long term supports and services (LTSS).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s in Nursing Science (BSN) required.
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience and 2 years Utilization Management experience required. 1 to 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role preferred.
Proficiency in use of computer applications and typing speed (35 words per minute minimum).
Bilingual a plus.
Strong skills in the following areas: Oral and written communication, Problem-solving, Organization and time management, Customer service, Knowledge of adult teaching and learning, coaching.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification:
Current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Texas.
