Position Description Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.
Major/Essential Functions The Strategic Staffing Regional Transformation Specialist (RTS) supports US PREP’s mission to provide on-the-ground support to colleges of education, with the larger goal of ensuring that every child, especially our children of color who are living in poverty, has access to highly effective teachers. An RTS provides support and training to a set of coalition providers. The universities within the project are geographically isolated and have unique needs. With numerous programs, professional development needs to be locally delivered and tailored to meet the needs of each program.
Work closely with Public Impact as they implement Opportunity Culture models in schools in order to build knowledge and capacity to support other school districts.
Bring together the work of the US PREP residency teacher preparation model and Public Impact’s Opportunity Culture model to include resident candidates as part of the partner schools’ staffing models.
CO-plan and monitor ITP progress towards project goals.
Assist in the coordination & provision of providing on-the-ground support to university providers.
Ensure clarity and coordination of project communications with provider leadership teams.
Provide training on the utilization of data (e.g. outcome and benchmark measures, program review, etc.) to inform plans for improvement/enrichment.
Assist the school-university leaders in establishing bi-annual shared governance meetings.
Plan, organize, and coordinate administrative and operational activities.
Support providers to meet readiness criteria for data visualization.
Monitor the fidelity of implementation using data from program reviews, ITPs, and Inspectorate US visits.
Facilitate annual surveys with partner district leaders on needs, graduates, and partnership satisfaction.
Assist the school-university leaders in strategic planning, piloting, data collection, and dissemination of new co-created and needs-based preparation innovation.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree plus three years related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal seven years.
Experience in adult education or professional development.
Ability to work and collaborate effectively with diverse populations, including multicultural experience and cross-cultural communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership in promoting equity and diversity.
