The Manager, Brand Resources serves as a key member of the McKesson corporate brand team, responsible for effectively managing corporate brand resources and services to help champion the McKesson brand to the broader enterprise and to support Brand and Creative team communications. The Manager, Brand Resources must be a proactive individual who thrives in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and engages with business partners with polish and grace under pressure. S/he needs to be a relationship builder and problem solver to get input and collaboration in a highly matrixed environment.
Works closely with Brand vendors and freelancers, managing many of these relationships, timelines and SOWs/contracts. S/he works closely with procurement, legal, finance and technology partners as needed to help identify new vendors, participate in reviewing proposals, set vendors up, execute new digital resources and process payments through Ariba.
Is accountable for the McKesson asset catalog, serving as the lead authority, administrator and librarian of our digital asset management system, BrandHQ. S/he is responsible for actively managing user roles and permissions, workflows, user signups, taxonomy, collections, new asset imports, employee releases, and DAM best practice guidelines. S/he provides ongoing training and promotion of BrandHQ. S/he is responsible for working closely with the design, video and project management teams for asset maintenance. S/he is responsible for actively managing our Bynder vendor relationship and implementing/supporting any future Bynder modules.
Will implement the new McKesson Brand merchandise e-store and provide ongoing support to keep the e-store up-to-date, utilizing reporting and vendor partner to manage inventory, popular and seasonal merchandise and technical optimization. S/he serves as the Brand store admin, managing the vendor relationship, planning and communicating brand store promotions and setting guidance with the Brand and Design directors for branded merchandise. S/he manages business partner requests with influence without authority to maintain brand and inventory standards.
Will need strong verbal and written communication skills and can create internal brand communications, supporting the Brand Director to promote brand initiatives internally and to create brand champions.
Manages McKesson's digital asset management system. Updates system methodically with asset imports, integrations and promotions. Oversees user needs and requests as well as ensures employee releases are properly connected to assets in compliance with legal and privacy guidance. Manages vendor relationship and provides periodic reporting on key metrics. Manages McKesson's branded merchandise store and serves as administrator. Oversees inventory planning, merchandise guidelines and brand merch promotion. Manages vendor relationship. Works collaboratively with creative project managers, design team leaders, events team and business partners to keep merchandise/inventory levels and promotions on brand and focused. Provides periodic reporting. Manages brand team's internal digital communications and inbox, working collaboratively with business partners to maintain brand resources such as Bananatag templates and distribution lists, to promote brand initiatives and to respond to brand inquiries. Manages and oversees any brand review workflows created in WorkFront, ensuring processes flow smoothely through cross-department reviewers and working with WorkFront administrators to implement changes to continuously develop improvements to processes, tools and infrastructure. Onboards new brand vendors/freelancers as needed with a Master Services Agreement and all the necessary documents for internal system setups through Ariba or Beeline. Manages brand vendor/freelancer contracts and renewals and issues statements of work to supplement and complement the brand team's work. Ensures compliance to policies, processes, budget and service level agreements.
4 years relevant business experience 3+ years of relevant experience in digital asset management
3+ years of relevant experience brand store/brand merchandise or inventory management
5+ years of matrixed environment experience
Education BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
Experience managing a Digital Asset Management system
Experience with Bynder is preferred
Experience implementing and managing a Corporate Brand e-store and merchandise
Clear understanding and application of taxonomy and metadata principles
Strong attention to detail; deep process orientation
Strong communication and planning skills
Experience with creative production (print, social, video, photography)
Additional Knowledge and Skills
Experience supporting in-house or agency creative marketing needs
Flexibility and experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environment
Working knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite and WorkFront
Budget management and financial accountability
MS Office Suite, Box, SharePoint, SAP skills
