We are seeking a highly motivated individual to oversee complex animal research to include: conducting experiments according to standard protocols and procedures, administration of medication and treatments, processing blood samples, maintaining detailed experimental records, data management, working with trainees on experimental protocols, submitting and maintaining IACUC protocols, and maintaining laboratory supplies. This position also includes running laboratory assays such as ELISAs and PCR.
Masters Degree with major courses in relevant field and 3 years of relevant experience; OR Bachelor's Degree with major courses in field of research and 5 years of relevant experience.
Experience with large and/or small animal protocols
Basic wet lab experience ELISAs, Luminex, RT-PCR
Proficient knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
Ability to learn new programs
Strong organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Meticulous detail to data and study procedures
Ability to prioritize work demands and troubleshoot
Ability to work independently or in a team in a multi-task environment
Ability to perform work in a laboratory setting, with potential risk of exposure to infectious agents, chemicals, dry ice, and liquid nitrogen
