The Resource Development Director will provide the leadership for all fundraising activities and strategies for the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA while working with staff, board members, and other volunteers. We are looking for an individual who can develop a culture of philanthropy that will position the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA as a "Charity of Choice". This person's work will help donors understand and support the YMCA's mission and dedication to youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. This role involves developing campaigns, organizing fundraising initiatives, working with board members, development and oversight of an annual fund, and building relationships with corporations, foundations, individual donors, staff, and volunteers.

Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures at all times.
Serve as a role model to all staff, members, and guests by personally demonstrating the YMCA mission and core values at all times.
Ensure a level of service and engagement of inclusion that builds relationships and foster loyalty among those we serve.
Participate with the CEO, staff, Board of Directors, and Fundraising Committee in charting the course in fund development (major gifts, estate giving, sponsorships, event development, social media efforts, annual campaigns, and capital campaigns).
Provide general oversight of all fund development activities, manages the day-to-day operations of the development office and staff, monitors adequacy of activities through coordination with staff, appropriate committees, and governing body to ensure fund development revenue goals are met.
Keep up-to-date on developments in philanthropy and fund development as well as the general fields of management and the not-for-profit sector, and recommend policy positions concerning fund development.
Ensure that philanthropy and fund development are carried out in keeping with the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA’s values, mission, and vision.
Plan and conduct strategies to encourage donor engagement & retention.
Oversee all donor acknowledgements, pledges, recognition, and stewardship including corporate, foundation, and individual donors, and track with annual calendar.
Solicit contributions on behalf of the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA individually or by accompanying the CEO and volunteers on major asks.
Coordinate with the business office to oversee the processing of all gifts and pledges in donor database; maintaining donor records and provide analytics and reporting as requested.
Seek out and develop community collaborations to advance the YMCA’s mission in our community.
Participate as key member of YMCA senior management team.
Put in vacation requests two weeks prior to taking time off as per the vacation policy.
Give a 2 week notice before resigning from this position.
Attend all required All Staff Meetings.
Complete all other duties as assigned by my supervisor.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to use a computer for extended periods of time and be able to communicate using a computer and phone/smart device.
The Team Member frequently is required to sit and reach, and must be able to move around the work environment.
The Team Member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
Bachelor’s degree in resource development/community engagement or related field. CFRE or pursuing CFRE credentials preferred.
Preference of five years of successful resource development experience with demonstrated track record of goal accomplishment and upward trending of success.
Fluency in current technology and social media programs related to resource development desirable. Familiarity with donor CRM preferred.
Demonstrate experience in developing, managing, or working in a fund development program.
Experience in generating increased giving from individual donors and corporations using a strategic approach.
Strong oral and written communication skills for relationship building and reporting.
Familiarity in identifying and securing grants, working with a non-profit board, and building and managing a planned giving/estate program.
Ability to think creatively about how to effectively engage new donor audiences.
Have an understanding and be committed to the YMCA mission and character development.
Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
Must meet all pre-employment requirements including but not limited to the criminal history investigation.
Certifications required within 90 days of hire: CPR/AED, First Aid and Safe schools.
