Description: Performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work, and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair and maintenance and replacement of wastewater facilities and systems.
Requirements: Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade; and ability to obtain WWTP Operator in Training (OIT) within one year of hire. Highly desirable: Certified Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator I in the State of WA, with CDL/Tanker, or any combination of education and experience. Must successfully pass criminal background and pre-employment driver’s records check.

The City of Stanwood Public Works Department is currently comprised of 16 full time staff members and during the summer months, several seasonal staff. The Department is divided into three divisions; Public Works Utilities (Water and Wastewater) Public Works Operations (Streets, Parks, Drainage, Public Grounds, Facilities and Fleet) and Engineering.
