Under general supervision, the Interlibrary Loan Lead oversees all functions of the Interlibrary Loan (ILL) unit. The incumbent provides program leadership for all interlibrary borrowing, lending, and resource sharing activities.
Provides lead work direction for two staff and numerous student employees including scheduling, monitoring attendance, training, and providing input for evaluations.
Monitors student employee budget expenditures, and prepares requests for student budget revisions as needed. Oversees accounts payable and accounts receivable for ILL fees.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Five (5) years of Library Assistant experience with High School or equivalent certification; OR four (4) years Library Assistant experience with equivalent to an Associate's Degree (60 units); OR three (3) years Library Assistant experience with equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (120 units) in job related field required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Comprehensive knowledge of interlibrary loan and resource sharing automated systems, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of library collection itself, its organization, and classification schemes.
Comprehensive knowledge of external on-line databases, systems and resources and trends pertaining to assigned functional area, including expertise in searching strategies. Comprehensive knowledge of national and institutional standards pertaining to copyright and intellectual property protection and the ability to apply this knowledge to ensure full compliance with legal requirements.
Knowledgeable about the nature and function of academic libraries. In-depth experience searching a variety of bibliographic databases and Internet resources. Familiarity with integrated library systems including circulation, cataloging, and acquisitions. Experience in providing lead work direction to other employees.
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks. Consistent student success and customer service focus. Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3736 -$5000, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3736 -$6893 per month.
HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
REG: This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
