The Director, Finance & Business Operations, Auxiliary Enterprises oversees multiple business operations, providing strategic guidance, directing their operations, processes, and procedures, and supervising the staff, with a focus on support of the University Mission while providing exceptional service. Specifically, the Director oversees the following business operations: ZAGCARD Services, Print Services, Mail Services, Student Printing and contractual obligations with the Zag Shop, Zag Dining and retail leasing.
This position manages financial operations and budgets for all business units above, GUEST (Gonzaga University Event Service Team, vendor contracts, and the overriding Auxiliary Enterprise budget responsibilities, thus contributing to the long-term financial health of the institution. This position functions with latitude and support of the Associate Vice President, Auxiliary Enterprises to consider courses of action within University policy and objectives and interacts with all University Departments and vendor partners to ensure goals are met and maintained with continued improvement as a focal point. This position acts on behalf of the AVP in their absence.
Bachelor's Degree plus 4 years in equivalent position or 8+ years equivalent work experience in business and finance operations Strong knowledge of contract administration Broad knowledge of legal language and implication Broad knowledge in risk identification and mitigation *Work in roles or establishments that required organization, collaboration and strong work ethic to complete tasks. *Five years' experience in accounting, budgeting or financial services. *Proven team leader. Provide examples of leadership, team development, and motivational techniques. *Proven track record for managing others. *Proven understanding of Banner software and basic managerial accounting software. *Excellent and proven, organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively interact and collaborate with team members, clients and university departments and personnel. *Proficiency in computer applications, including graphics programs, Microsoft Office Suite;. EMS experience is a plus. *Ability to work weekends, holidays and/or evenings as needed.
