Dr. Salhiaâs lab in the The Department of Translational Genomics is seeking a highly motivated research cooridinator to plan, implement, and maintain data collection and analysis systems in support ofÂ an IRB-approved patient centric researchÂ protocol. The successful candidate will coordinate and administer research study associated activities. He/She will ensure that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Recruits and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate, and serves as principle administrative liaison for the project. Oversees and coordinates the provision of administrative and staff services and develops and maintains recordkeeping systems and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skill with high emphasis on collaboration, a meticulous attention to details, competent at working independently, and the ability to easily adapt to a wide scope of projects.
TRAINING/EXPERIENCE CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of one-year clinical research experience
Familiarity with community research-based principles
Minimum two-four years experience in program coordination, volunteer management in a health related, or frontline client service
Extensive knowledge of issues relating to people living with cancer
Demonstrated understanding of the complexity of issues relating to cancer
Excellent facilitation skills
Exceptional program coordination and volunteer management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English
Ability to speak another language is an asset. Spanish preferred.
Strong awareness of anti-oppression and harm reduction issues

Computer Competency including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Familiarity with data storage and analysis systems such as SPPS or REDCap is an asset

Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 1 yearMinimum Field of Expertise: Administrative or research experience. Working knowledge of MS Office applications. Demonstrated effective communication and writing skills. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
