Transportation & Mobility Planning is responsible for implementation of the Denver Moves plans and the Mayor’s Mobility Action Plan, which sets the vision for Denver’s transportation future of “moving people.” It works with neighborhoods, citizens, organizations, and elected officials to safely and efficiently move pedestrians, transit, bicycles, and cars throughout the city and provide choice in mobility options. The Transportation & Mobility Planning team is seeking a Senior City Planner with experience and knowledge in multi-modal transportation planning, including bicycle, pedestrian, traffic safety, and complete streets-related projects. This Senior City Planner will support the implementation of Denver Moves by managing multimodal transportation plans and projects, conducting research and studies on active transportation, managing count data, and producing reports on multimodal transportation in Denver. This position will work with the Planning Team to oversee the development and implementation of its “Community Network” approach which focuses on identifying and programming complete multimodal transportation networks within neighborhoods across Denver. We realize your time is valuable so please do not apply if you do not have at least the following required minimum qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in City or Regional Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Historic Preservation, Engineering, or a related degree Experience: Five (5) years of professional planning experience Licensures/Certification(s): Requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application. Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education. Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements |
