![]() University of Idaho Supplemental Instruction Peer Assisted Study Sessions (SI-PASS) Specialist Location: Moscow Division/College: Enrollment Management Employee Category: Classified Pay Range: $16.40 per hour or higher depending on education and experience Full/Part Time: Part Time Position Summary: The Supplemental Instruction Peer Assisted Study Session (SI-PASS) Specialist helps manage the SI-PASS program by training and mentoring undergraduate staff to deliver peer-assisted study sessions. The SI-PASS Specialist will compile data from study session attendance and courses performance to monitor the program. UI follows the Supplemental Instruction model created by the University of Missouri-Kansas City International Center for Supplemental Instruction. Supporting the University's mission and goals, the purpose of SI-PASS is to improve student grades in targeted historically difficult courses leading to increased overall student retention and graduation rates, in partnership with campus faculty and academic departments. This position will also lead social media initiatives and marketing efforts for the SI-PASS program and Tutoring & College Success. This position is half-time (20 hours per week), 10-month, benefit eligible, and reports to the Supplemental Instruction Peer Assisted Study Sessions (SI-PASS) Coordinator. Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in academic support services at the secondary or post-secondary level. Experience using organizational and planning skills with attention to detail and follow through. Experience promoting programs or services using digital communication, social media, and marketing strategies. Experience using current business software used for word processing, data spreadsheet, calendar, and email management. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in education, social sciences, communications, marketing, or related field. Experience working collaboratively, as well as independently. Experience working with Supplemental Instruction or other college level academic support models. Experience leading teams. Knowledge of academic success strategies (study skills, time management, organization, test taking, note taking, etc.). Excellent use of written and verbal communication.
