![]() University of Idaho Director of Student Services and Stakeholder Engagement Location: Moscow Division/College: College of Science Employee Category: Exempt Pay Range: $45,000 or higher depending upon education and experience Full/Part Time: Full Time Position Summary: The Director leads and manages all programming efforts to strengthen student recruitment and retention within the College of Science. This includes but is not limited to: the development and implementation of marketing and recruiting strategies to attract quality new students; implementation and management of effective student retention strategies; counseling with students experiencing academic difficulty; coordinating special events on and off campus for current and prospective students and stakeholders; overseeing the college's scholarship awarding process; working with college leadership, faculty members, and college and university committees as needed. The Director will work collaboratively with Strategic Enrollment Management to meet university and college recruiting and retention goals. This position reports to the Dean, College of Science, or designee. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in a STEM field, communications, marketing, or related field. Work experience in higher education. Experience working professionally with people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Ability to edit and write business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials. Knowledge of computer operation and software programs. Preferred Qualifications: Marketing and/or communications experience. Experience in student advising. Familiarity with UI records systems, regulations, and processes. Superior interpersonal skills. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: Must be able to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 30 lbs.
