We are searching for an experienced Spanish 101 - Part-Time Instructors at our Santa Maria Campus facility. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: SPANISH 101 INSTRUCTORS Allan Hancock College is accepting applications to establish a pool of qualified candidates for part-time Spanish 101 Instructors for future openings at all campus locations, Santa Maria Campus and Lompoc Valley Center. The desired start date is for the fall semester, August 2021. Classes will be held in the day and/or evening. The course is designed for non-native Spanish speakers and therefore ideal for students with minimal or no exposure to Spanish. Spanish 101 offers an introduction to the Spanish language, presenting students with vocabulary and grammar, reading and writing skills as well as oral and listening skills. In its desire to select outstanding faculty members from the largest possible pool of qualified applicants, Allan Hancock College recognizes candidates may have attained expertise in a discipline through a variety of means. Certain combinations of education, experience, and other accomplishments in the field may be judged by the district as equal to the stated minimum qualifications for this position. Candidates who feel they possess such equivalent qualifications are encouraged to complete the equivalency form and provide appropriate documentation of their qualifications. SALARY: SCREENING PROCESS: A committee will screen all applications. Meeting minimum qualifications does not assure a candidate an interview. Therefore, it is important that the application be thorough and detailed. Applicants will be assessed on the breadth and depth of education, training, experience, skills, knowledge and abilities. A limited number of applicants will be invited for an interview at the college at their own expense. All interviewed candidates may be asked to complete job related exercises.
