The Georgetown Divide Public Utility District, nestled in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Foothills and Northern California’s Gold Country, is currently searching for a General Manager to serve as Chief Administrative Officer for the District. The General Manager is an at-will position with a one-year probation period, hired by and receiving broad policy direction from the Board of Directors. With a staff of 27 and annual operating budget of approximately $4.7 million, the General Manager is directly responsible for all affairs of the District including administration, financial management, public relations, water operations, engineering, programs, and related support activities. Additionally, the General Manager serves as a highly visible representative of and advocate for the District within the 72,000-acre service area and the region.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree; a Master’s degree and/or registration as a Professional Engineer may be a plus. Experience should include relevant professional experience including management level experience within a government agency or private utility industry. Top candidates will have at least ten years of progressively responsible executive and/or management experience. California experience is highly regarded and preferred. The Board will consider out-of-state candidates on a case-by-case basis.
