UW Neighborhood Clinics (UWNC) is a network of community-based clinics throughout the Puget Sound region. The clinics offer a wide spectrum of primary care services, as well as secondary care, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Urgent care services are offered seven days a week at select locations. UWNC - Belltown Clinic has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (100%, 40 hours per week), day shift, MEDICAL ASSISTANT. The Medical Assistant performs duties required to assist health care professionals in the examination and treatment of clinic patients, provides individual and group patient education, conducts basic diagnostic tests, provides follow-up for patient post-treatment care, and performs a variety of clerical/administrative functions, provides standard health messaging and education. RESPONSIBILITIES REQUIREMENTS Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board; OR equivalent education/experience. LEGAL REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant Certification or Medical Assistant Interim Certification in the State of Washington DESIRED At least one year of medical assistant experience is preferred UW Medicine includes Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center - Montlake, UW Medical Center - Northwest, Valley Medical Center, UW Neighborhood Clinics, UW Physicians, UW School of Medicine, and Airlift Northwest. |
