Director of Innovation and Design:

As SF Day opens its new facility, this administrative role will provide the leadership and vision for how the instructional opportunities enabled in the new Innovative Lab, Arts Center, Design Workshop, Performance Center, and Roof Top Garden can expand opportunities for students to discover interests and passions, engage with new and emerging technologies, and explore environmental and social challenges their generation will surely face.  This role will guide the instructional programming and innovation initiatives that will take place in the new facility and align and integrate it with the learning taking place throughout the school.

Guiding Questions: 

How can:

• students expand the ways in which they discover interests and express their learning?
• students leverage new and emerging technologies to explore relevant and real world problems? 
• design,  fabrication, performance, and sustainability be more intentionally integrated into the K-8 curriculum.  
• Work with department chairs to develop a cohesive strategy for increasing innovation across the curriculum

Other Departmental Roles

Instructional Technology Coach 

Provide instructional leadership and support for faculty and staff to integrate and advance the use of instructional technology. 

Collaborate with faculty and staff to work towards strategic goals that can be addressed by instructional technology and innovative solutions.

 Technology Teacher/s

Direct classroom instruction. 

 Technological Support 

Maintain and support the technological systems in the school through vendor and staff management

Manage the budget for technology and innovation department

Qualifications

• Advance degree and related experience preferred
• Deep knowledge of innovation and curricular trends within independent schools
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Passionate about innovation and how it can improve student learning
